Ripco Credit Union Scholarships

Ripco Credit Union is committed to improving the financial lives of our members. One way that we show that commitment is to provide scholarships to outstanding high school graduates who plan to continue their education at a two-or-four-year institution of higher learning.

For many years we have provided scholarships to graduating Rhinelander High School Students. As our field of membership has grown to include a significant number of members in Eagle River and Three Lakes, WI, we have added to that program, and for several years have offered scholarships at Northland Pines High School in Eagle River and at Three Lakes High School.

In an effort to be even more inclusive and offer an opportunity to students who do not attend one of those three schools, in 2016 we added a brand new “Field-of-Membership” scholarship.  This scholarship may be offered to a student living within our field of membership (the Wisconsin counties of Oneida, Vilas, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Price or Florence) and graduating from a high school (other than Rhinelander, Eagle River or Three Lakes) or from an alternative educational program that has prepared the student for acceptance into a two-or-four-year institution of higher learning.

For all of our scholarships, the awards are based on Ripco Credit Union membership (the applicant must be a primary Ripco member for at least 90 days prior to the date of application), academic achievement, career and educational goals, extra-curricular activities and community involvement, and a written essay.

Rhinelander, Eagle River and Three Lakes scholarship programs are administered by their respective Guidance Offices, and applications for these awards may be obtained at the schools.  Applicants graduating from another field-of-membership high school or from an alternative program in our field of membership may view and/or print our Field-of-Membership application here.

Each participating high school has established a deadline for application submission.  Field-of-Membership applications must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2017 or must be hand-delivered to either our Rhinelander or Eagle branch during regular business hours no later than March 15, 2017 in order to be eligible for consideration.
