Protecting your personal and financial information has always been one of our highest priorities. That's why we're introducing several new security enhancements to Online Banking beginning August 24, 2026.

These updates are designed to provide even greater protection while making it easier to securely access and manage your account.

Here’s what you can expect.

Stronger Passwords for Better Protection

Beginning August 24, Online Banking passwords must:

  • Be at least 10 characters long.
  • Include at least three of the following:
  • One uppercase letter
  • One lowercase letter
  • One number
  • One special character (such as !, @, #, or $)

These stronger password requirements help reduce the risk of unauthorized access and better protect your account.

You May Not Need to Change Your Password

If your current password already meets the new security requirements, you won’t be prompted to create a new one after August 24.

Multi-Factor Authentication Is Being Added

Beginning August 24, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required when signing in to Online Banking.

After entering your password, you'll receive a one-time security code by text message or email to verify your identity before accessing your account.

While it only takes a few extra seconds, this added layer of protection helps reduce the risk of fraud and unauthorized account access.

Forgot Your Password? Recover it Yourself.

We've also made password recovery easier.

If you ever forget your password, you'll be able to securely reset it yourself using Multi-Factor Authentication through your verified phone number or email address.

That means faster, more convenient access to your account without needing to contact the credit union.

Check Your Contact Information

Before August 24, we encourage you to verify that the mobile phone number and email address associated with your account are current.

This information will be used to:

  • Verify your identity through Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • Help you securely reset your password if you ever forget it.
  • Better protect your Online Banking account.

Taking a minute to confirm your contact information now will help ensure everything works smoothly when the new security features go live.

We’re Here to Help

These enhancements are another way Ripco is helping protect your accounts while making everyday banking more secure and convenient.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sending a series of emails with helpful tips, reminders, and step-by-step guidance so you'll know exactly what to expect before the August 24 update. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth and stress-free as possible.

If you have questions along the way, our team is always happy to help. We're here for you every step of the way.
